The Known Universe

Created using the world's largest four dimensional map of the Universe, the Digital Universe Atlas, that is maintained and updated by the American Museum of Natural History. Puts things into perspective.

Happy 4/20!

In celebration of this wonderful day, I bring to you some branding done by various companies in a hypothetical campaign for legal marijuana. Print Magazine challenged four top design firms to brand weed, and these are the results. Some really great stuff. If only it came like this now!

From Lust, a design firm from Amsterdam:

From Base's New York office, nodding toward weed's illegal past with reused packaging.

From Strømme Throndsen, based in Oslo, Norway, holding first place for designs in my book.

Last but not least, coming from The Heads of State, a firm from Philadelphia. Check out the label names.

Celebrate responsibly.

Allan Peters

I came across Mr. Allan Peters' online portfolio, which is hosted by Cargo Collective, and found some amazing stuff. From what I gather, he's based in Minneapolis.

Mortal Kombat

I've posted about this on other blogs before. The original pitch for the series Mortal Kombat: Legacy was great, but wasn't turned into a movie but rather a webisode series. Considering they're just being posted to YouTube, I can embed them here. So here is the first episode:

Good Wood

Good Wood is a company based in New York City that creates jewelry and other items created from wood. The designs are packed with creativity and originality. Some truly beautiful and inspiring products.
